The Duke of Edinburgh gets on a train at Parel, India, 1870


Today this is a southern suburb of Bombay (Mumbai). The Duke of Edinburgh at the time was Prince Alfred Ernest Albert (1844–1900), the second son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
