Fiat railcar in Spain, 1952
A class 595 TAF or Tren Automotor Fiat built in 1952 seen on the main line from Madrid to Barcelona. The sets consisted of two powered cars with an unpowered car between them. It was possible to uncouple them into a motorised car plus trailer and a separate motorised car. The engines developed 505 hp, transmission was mechanical and the trains had a maximum speed of 120 km/h (75 mph). They had a silver livery, like other Spanish trains of this time. After 1968 the silver was replaced with two shades of blue. Final withdrawal was in 1980. More info here
