China's Red Flag cars, 1958

In 1958 came the first indigenous limousine for China's bosses, the Hongqi (Red Flag), model CA 72, inspired by the American Chrysler.  Only about 1600 cars were produced in the factory's 33 years of existence but in a variety of models.
