Mountain steam
A Mountain or 4-8-2 type X class from 1908 is seen with a southbound goods train at Waiouru, NZ's highest station, probably in the 1920s. As an active volcano Mt Ruapehu in the distance also makes steam and smoke at times. For more, see our books.
