1967 Toyota Corona

The third generation of the Corona (Latin for crown). We think this was the first Toyota model to be sold in NZ.  The impact of Japanese cars in the market was modest in the 1960s, but after people began to realise their engineering was superior to British cars, they rapidly replaced British new car sales in the 1970s.  That like Japan, NZ had right hand drive was a supply advantage over continental European and American cars.
