will the Kingston Flyer operate this summer?

We hope so, but to date there seems to be no positive developments in that since the much publicised cessation in 2009.  As we have commented before, it is New Zealand's most iconic preserved steam train operation and must be one of the significant attractions that Central Otago/northern Southland can offer.  The most recent news article we can find is this on the Otago Daily Times site.
