Lisbon trams
A few posts ago we showed a Lisbon tram in England, so here are a couple of pictures of Lisbon trams in their hometown. Normal use ones are painted yellow and white, tourist use ones are painted red. As mentioned before, the gauge width is 900 mm. Thanks to Google Streetview you can follow the tram tracks as they wind their way up and down the streets of the old town with your mouse button.
The best single source of information about the history of Portuguese rail transport is the 372 page hardback book Portugal på Skinner, which oddly is only available in Danish.
