Transatlantica Italiana poster, 1922

Featuring the 8,331 grt Cesare Battisti which was delivered to the shipping line that year.  The 132.4 metre (434 ft) long ship had been launched from the constructor, Gio Ansaldo & Co. Genoa, in 1920, fitting out took two more years. On 23 December 1936, the ship sank on a on voyage from Naples to Massowah, Eritrea, after an explosion off that destination.
