a couple of Lithuanian railway scenes

The first photo is a Soviet era 4-car electric multiple unit (25 kV system) seen at Kaunas after a run from the capital Vilnius; the second is a Soviet era diesel locomotive (a TEP60 class) running around a passenger train from Kaunas to Sestokai/Trakiszki, the border station with Poland.  Because of the change of track gauge here (the Soviet Union used 1520 mm gauge), the Polish (standard 1435 mm gauge) passenger trains arrive and depart back to Poland on the other platform.  Both photos from June 2007.
