the British Prime Minister also says multi-culturalism has failed
Repeating the remarks made by German Bundeskanzellerin Angela Merkel last year (see earlier post), the British Prime Minister David Cameron is now saying the same thing about the UK.
from the BBC:
The prime minister has criticised "state multiculturalism" in his first speech on radicalisation and the causes of terrorism since being elected. Addressing a security conference in Germany, David Cameron has argued the UK needs a stronger national identity to prevent people turning to extremism. Different cultures are encouraged to live apart, and objectionable views met with "passive tolerance", he says. He has also signaled a tougher stance on Muslim groups promoting Islamist extremism (as in the second photo).
