1957 Lambretta and Paris Chausson bus

We posted a publicity pic for the 1967 Lambretta, so here is a sales brochure showing a Lambretta LD150 from 1957 with the Arc de Triomphe in the background, apparently at the intersection of Avenue Marceau and Rue de Presbourg.

The Lambretta Mark 3 LD150 was introduced in January that year and had a top speed of 90 km/h (56 mph). It was available in grey or ivory, with a second colour to the side panels of green, maroon, red or blue. 113,853 units were built between January 1957 and July 1958. During 1958, possibly due to the forthcoming introduction of the Li series, the supply of LDs from Italy dried-up and had to be imported from France.

The current route of Bus 92 in Paris is from Porte de Champerret to the Gare Montparnasse and return, but that may not have been the route in 1957. A 1:43 scale model of the bus, a 1953 Chausson APU53 from 1953 in RATP colours is being made by Norev and expected to be available in a few months (below).
