Bill English splurges on new luxury BMW cars for government Ministers

What's a good Government use for its increased revenue from the Goods and Services Tax increase?  Why not buy a fleet of 34 new luxury BMW cars - at a mere $200,000 each - for Ministers to be chauffered around in?

It was a rather odd time for the announcement with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard in the country - what deal could Ford or GM Australia have offered?  We think a fair bit less than $200,000 per car.

What's next for Goverment luxury?  More at the NZ Herald website
