cars off to the picnic, 1920s
Cars in Jervois Quay, Wellington, alongside what is now the Bond Store, the main exhibition building of the Museum of Wellington City and Sea. The original caption states the cars were about to depart for a Motor Trades Picnic for Wellington orphans, no date, but probably sometime in the late 1920s. Apart from these cars, the street seems deserted. One notes the large Ford sign in the distance. S.C. Smith photo.
