World transport history
One song that has maritime overtones but was never released as a nautical song is the Electric Light Orchestra's 'Living Thing 'from their New World Record album of 1976. It got hammered in the bars on the ships I worked on , the lyrics certainly suggest the lifestyle back then was to be grasped whilst it lasted.
the first verse of that song could be interpreted that way, or another way:-"Sailin' away on the crest of a waveIt's like magicOh rollin' and ridin',slippin' & slidingIt's magic"further comment needed?
