"Mightiest of the super-airships, the
Graf Zeppelin was 775 feet (236 metres) long and 100 feet (30.5 metres) in diameter. Its height from the bottom of the buffer on the gondola to the top of the envelope was 147 feet (44.8 metres), and its five 580 h.p. 12-cylinder Maybach engines could power the ship along at 110 km/h. The vessel could travel for 10,000 km without refueling. It was broken up for scrap in 1940." See earlier posts.
