Nathans Finance directors get jail terms

Yesterday two of the three directors of the collapsed Nathans Finance charged with offences were given jail terms by the court.  The three were also ordered to pay collective reparations of $1 million, but considering the amount owed is $174 million that wont go very far. Details on the Herald website.

It will be good if Messrs Eric Watson & Mark Hotchin (see earlier posts) are extradited from their overseas hideouts to face the same.  The tens of millions of dollars of assets that Hotchin has are frozen by the court, and Watson is said to have over $200 million stashed away, so that would go a lot further towards compensating their victims.
