Wild Irishman on the London and Northwestern Railway


Another Raphael Tuck "Oilette" postcard. "Taking water at Bushey" may make steam fans here wonder where the water tank is, but water troughs in the track between the rails accessed by scoops in the loco so it didn't have to stop were standard in the UK.

The loco is a three-cylinder compound from the 1880s which didn't survive into LMS days.
