Stockholms Tunnelbana, 1964

An electric C4 set from the 1950s - third rail with a nominal operating voltage of 650 V DC
Stockholm's last tram lines in the city centre ceased in September 1967.

Tunnelbana literally means tunnel railway, although today of the 100 stations in use, only 47 are underground and 53 are above ground. The first line opened in 1950 and now there are seven lines numbered from 10 to 19, in three groups identified by a colour: the Green, Red and Blue lines. Each colour line has two or three numbered lines on shared sections through the Stockholm City Centre. The 105.7 km (65.7 mile) long metro system is owned by the Stockholm County Council through Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL).

The underground train is a C4; C2 had flat sides.

Lovely photos all the same!
