In a similar place to the REO Speed Wagon logging truck (see earlier post) but about 10 years earlier, this shows a Bell Bus sightseeing trip at the summit of the Paekakariki Hill Road with the Kapiti Coast in the background. At this time it was the main road, but given the nature of the road and the development of motor vehicles at that point it isn't surprising that there was little traffic on it. This is another photo that was considered for, but not used in the book Wellington Transport Memories. A different photo with a description of the bus is in the book.
