the Ground Zero site, 10 years later

A picture on the BBC website. Ten years ago this was a massive pile of twisted metal and rubble.  The footprints of where the twin towers stood are now permanent memorials to the victims of the Muslim terrorist attacks.  Deformed steel girders from the site made their way to various countries to make sculpture memorials, including in Christchurch, NZ.
