Santa Fe loco 3758 was a 4-8-4 type built by Baldwin in 1928. Originally a coal burner, it was converted to burn oil in the mid-1930s. Around 1940 it was completely rebuilt and given 80 inch (2 metre) driving wheels, an increase on the original 73 inch drivers. In the late 1940s it was given another rebuild to have a total weight of 478,100 pounds (216.9 tonnes). Height was 18.5 feet (5.64 metres) and the length of loco and tender was just under 109 feet (33.2 metres).
The loco was scrapped in December 1956, 20 months after the end of steam on the Santa Fe.
