Copenhagen's Rådhuspladsen then and now
Two 1950s postcards of the Rådhusplads or Town Hall Place in Copenhagen featuring the city's former trams among other traffic. Below is a current Google streetview of the area.
It is quite a central point in the city; the famous Strøget pedestrian street starts from here and runs about a mile to Kongens Nytorv (The King's New Square) where the Royal Theater is; a short walk in the opposite direction along the Vesterbrogade takes you to the Tivoli Gardens and the Hovedbanegård or main station (which celebrates its centennial this year - a post will follow about that soon.)
