three-phase electric railcar in Italy

A scene scanned from a magazine showing a three-phase electric multiple unit near Variotti headed for Ventimiglia in 1957.  The obvious indication that it is three-phase is the double insulated pantographs, each of which carrried a phase, the rails carrying the third phase.  See this page for some technical information on how this worked.
