The third generation T-Bird, the 'Rocket Bird' as it is often called, lasted like the first two generations, for three model years. And like the first two generations, at first glance they look much the same, although there are detail differences such as the 3 parallelograms on the doors of the 1963 model (second photo).

Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission , power steering, power brakes and the 390ci V8 engine were standard equipment for the 1961-1963 Ford Thunderbird.
