Indonesian railway scenes at Medan

For NZ enthusiasts, Indonesia's railways have the right distance between the rails - 3'6" (1067 mm), although some new construction is taking place with standard gauge.  The development of the railways (mostly on Java and some on Sumatra) took place under Dutch colonial rule and one notes the sign Kantoor voor Bestelgoedener to the left in the pic is in Dutch.

This view at Medan on Sumatra in the 1920s shows a B25 class 0-4-2T locomotive, one of which is now preserved at a railway museum.  The second pic from Google Earth shows a similar recent view.
