I recall these as my introduction to travel on NZR. Travelling on them I noted one set had a particulary bad flat spot and obviously was not on the priority list for turning. I always tried to avoid it ,but at weekends with low patronage it seemed to be the one set always in use. Why the conductor never wrote a report up I don't know, but if he did it certainly was never executed.
