Lo Wu border station, Hong Kong and China, then and now

A postcard from the 1960s(?) from the Hong Kong side and a view from wikimedia taken about 18 months ago from the Shenzhen (China) side, there called Luohu.  Things have changed a bit.  The Kowloon and Canton Railway or KCR used to run right through here; the station and border post was created in 1949.  The KCR (note that Canton is now Guangzhou) was electrified to this point in July 1983 using British Metro Cammell electric multiple units.
