Southern Railway switcher and slug
An SW7 switcher and a 'slug': an auxillary power unit fitted with traction motors only, the electricity for which comes from the prime mover of the loco; compare 'calf' in an earlier post. A scene in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1976.
