the Orient Express in movies
We mentioned movies based on trains in a previous post. The most regularly occurring has been the famous Orient Express - the imdb.com site lists several going back as far as 1927.
The best known is the 1974 version of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express novel involving her fictional Belgium detective Hercule Poirot (see the poster above for cast and crew).
A recent movie is one from 2004 made in and set in Romania during the interwar years, which seems to have received little theatrical release outside its home country.
