Tasmanian X class

If it has a casual resemblance to the NZR DE class, it would be because they were both made by English Electric at the same time, and for the same 3'6" track gauge. A total 32 of the Bo-Bo type were built, fitted with an English Electric 6SRKT Mark I prime mover. Seven were preserved.

This one was seen in 1978 in Scottsdale near the end of the Tasmanian Government Railways (TGR) era, replaced with Australian National.  The branch to Scottsdale is now disused.
