Mogul Kerosene Tractors

This was a make of the International Harvestor stable, which as the description indicates, were designed to run on kerosene rather than gasoline (petrol).

The photo is from a Christchurch NZ supplier, dated 1917, and the accompanying desciption read: "One day's shipment from Christchurch. One man only is needed to operate one of these tractors with a 3 or 4-furrow plough, if the plough is fitted with an automatic lift. This is a step in the right direction to enable farmers to grow sufficient wheat for NZ requirements. These tractors are manufactured in the well-known McCormick reaper and binder works which ensure purchasers of prompt attention and repairs when required. Two models are shown: 8 x 16 HP and 12 x 20 HP".
