'Raymond', Kiwibank's car

For the last 5 years Kiwibank has used a little lime green smart car (Kiwibank’s signature colour) in its adverts and TV commercials called “Raymond.” Why the name isn't clear, but it is a vehicle to represent the bank  — small and nimble, taking on the Australian banks' dominance in the NZ market. According to the advertising agency, “In our advertising we try to make it seem like the car drives itself around, kind of like KITT from the TV show Knight Rider.”
The super-huge speakers on top of the car were a prop specially built for Kiwibank, but they work and in parades the bank's theme song, a very stylised national anthem, is played through them.

No, we don't bank with Kiwibank as we have a pile of shares in ANZ which with the strong Australian economy have been a good investment, but we like Kiwibank's attitude.  The Smart car website
