On its run from Chambéry (Chambéry - Challes-les-Eaux) in France to Turin (Torino Porta Susa) through the Mont Cenis (Fréjus) tunnel. Currently a new high speed long base tunnel is being built to bypass the most mountainous section of the line, just has been done with Gotthard route in Switzerland.
