Depicted with a 141 R in front, circa 1951. Since 1950 Le Mistral train had connected Marseille with Paris, taking 8 hours.
This was one of the watercolor artworks by Albert Jahan contained in a La Vie du Rail book published in 2008 entitled Sublimes Vapeurs, which may still be available.
