Fiji stamps marking 200 years since the British discovery of Rotuma Island, 1791

You can't help wondering if the first scene shows a welcome or the opposite.  Rather than dinner guests, it wasn't unusual for Fijians to regard foreigners as their dinner.  The discovery actually occurred while the HMS Pandora was on a voyage in 1791 to find the HMS Bounty which had experienced the well-known mutiny two years before and hunt down the crew.  Pandora was wrecked on Great Barrier Reef at the end of August 1791.  wikipedia article
