1918 Austin bus

This last weekend the two of us based in Wellington headed up to Napier for the 25th annual Art Deco Weekend, held as usual in sunny Hawkes Bay weather.  The atmosphere is considerably enhanced by the many people who wear 1930s clothes styles and by the hundreds of vintage and classic cars.  Cars post-1946 are frowned on, but there are plenty of them to be seen anyway.

This was one of the oldest vehicles operating, a 1918 Austin 2 litre bus.  Gross vehicle mass is 3.9 tonnes, wheelbase 3.2 metres.
