new book - Paris to Marseille viewed from the train
A variation of the line guides such as our On the TransAlpine Trail and On the Coastal Pacific Route, this book provides a visual guide to notable things to be seen from the window of a TGV (high speed train) over this 747 km route. "What the landscapes of your journey hide" and these include the Rhone valley and the scintillating light of Provence.
It answers the questions which a passenger will ponder such as, what's that castle, river, strange hill, perched village... The pictures are taken from the window of a TGV but despite the high speed of the train, only the immediate foreground is blurred, and there are other pictures taken normally. Unconventionally, the page layouts are landscape but the binding is portrait, so you need to hold it open rather than rest it on your lap.
This is the second in a series, the first covered Paris to Lyon.
257 x 182 mm, softcovered, color throughout.
