The ubiquitous Kaiser Wilhelm Platz and Bismarck memorial.  Between 1933 and 1945 nearly all were renamed Adolf Hitler Platz, and after 1945 in the DDR, after equivalent communist heros.

Best known as the home of the Trabbi, Zwickau has had a tramway system since 1894, metre gauge and electrified since inception, the first electric tramway in Saxony. In December 2005 a 4.3 km extension was opened to the southwest city area of Neuplanitz, bringing the present system to approximately 18.5 km with 4 lines.
