Morlaix is a town of about 16,000 in Bretagne, France. The town's landmark viaduct, made of granite from the Ile Grande, was built 1861-1864 for the line from Paris to Brest: it is 292 metres long, 58 metres high, has 14 arches and 9 arcs, and contains 11,000 cubic metres of stone. The line Rennes - Brest was inaugurated in 1865.
