horse tram in the water

You wonder how much deeper the water became. A view of the one time horse tram on the Frisian island of Langeoog (which in Frisian means 'long island'), one of the seven inhabited East Frisian Islands of Germany at the edge of the Lower Saxon Wattenmeer or Wadden Sea in the southern North Sea. The island, which has a population today of about 2,000, is still largely free of cars.  There is a metre gauge railway, otherwise horses and carts and bicycles are the preferred forms of transport; power vehicles are restricted to essential services.
