Awatere Road/Rail bridge, 1905

As those who have our books know, the double-deck road/rail bridge (rail on the top, road on the bottom) at Awatere, just north of Seddon in Marlborough, was in use as such for over 100 years until a parallel two lane road bridge was built. There were two others like it in the country, for details see our books.
