a Routemaster in Sydney

Arguably even more famous than the RT, the red doubledeck AEC Routemaster (designated RM) buses, of which 2,876 were produced from 1958 to 1968, became an icon of not just London Transport but of London itself. This is one of the approximately 1,000 still existing, but this one isn't in London: Sydney Bus Museum RM 1708 is seen in Bridge Street near Gresham Street, Sydney, earlier this year.

The Sydney Bus Museum website states it is reopening this year. (John Ward photo).
