A pic taken on a Wellington wharf, who by is unknown. This was typically built on a Leyland Cub KPO3 chassis, featuring a 4.4-litre diesel engine and seating for around 20 passengers.
The picture was taken by Frank Giles Barker, a noted Wellington commercial photographer. The vehicle is a Leyland Cub KP2, chassis number 45, the first Cub chassis to come to NZ and bodied by Crawley Ridley & Co Ltd of Wellington for Leyland Motors Ltd as a demonstrator vehicle in late 1931.
