This was a Co-Co type based on the SNCF CC-7100 class. The first batch of 20 units was built in France, the remainder by several Alsthom-licensed Spanish companies (MACOSA, CAF, Naval SEC). As mentioned in the fiche, a total 136 were built between 1956 and 1965. The last was withdrawn in 1996.
