train watching from the café, Denmark, 1955

A scene of a mixed train on the TKVJ or Troldhede-Kolding-Vejen Jernbane. This standard gauge operation was Denmark's longest private railway and lasted from 1917 to 1968.  The two main sections were Troldhede-Grindsted-Kolding (87.9 km, 1917-1968) and Gesten-Vejen (9.6 km, 1917-1951). The maximum gradient was 1.35%.
