The El 8 was a class of 16 units delivered 1940-1949 with a 1-Do-1 axle arrangement which didn't make it very suitable for tight curves. Like all locos delivered up to 1962, it was originally in a green livery, then this was changed to russet (red brown). The one preserved example (in Hamar) has been returned to the original green. Scanned from an old calendar, original pic credited to Leif Klereus.
