Fiji had 2ft gauge systems for sugar cane trains at Lautoka, Ba and Penang. Here it is almost certainly a Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 steamer up front. The postcard is not dated. One notes the little girl railfan at left- wouldn't it be great if she grew up to run a bookstore?

Travelled on this train in the 70's when hauled by a diesel, possibly Hunslet, at the time I should have taken more interest as it was I understand the only free service in the world. .I think the local pub and girls had more attraction back then during a three day stop for cargo delivery .
