Symond's Yat railway station - picturesque and long gone

1906 colored postcard
circa 1910
This was a station in one of most idyllic locations you could imagine beside the River Wye in Herefordshire, England, near the border with Wales. It was opened in August 1873 and closed at the begining of 1959 along with the Ross and Monmouth Railway that it was a station on.
