steamship 'Lauderdale' arriving at Greymouth, 1902


A stereoscope view. As far as we can tell, this was a cargo ship built in 1889 with a tonnage of 1,668 grt and wrecked at Greymouth in 1910.  In 1889 built as Cairntoul. Sold to the Union Steam Ship Co. and in 1890 renamed Taieri. In 1908 sold to Maoriland Steamship Co. and renamed Lauderdale. In 1902 it was thus known as the Taieri.
