Mosgiel station a long time ago

As those who have our books know, Mosgiel is south (actually due west) of Dunedin and takes its name from Mossgiel in Ayrshire, the farm of poet Robbie Burns, who was the uncle of one of Dunedin’s founders, and the station is the next one along from Wingatui where the Otago Central branch peels off to the north.

The postcard showing the station facilities is probably from the 1910s.  There were suburban trains from here to Dunedin but it's too hard to decide if the train in this view is local or longer distance.
